Smart-Thaw system with SAE Smart-Thaw (SST) quick connector

Smart-Thaw system with SAE Smart-Thaw (SST) quick connector

The Smart-Thaw System with the SAE Smart-Thaw (SST) quick connector was developed as the answer to an industry issue – a system having difficulty or the inability to thaw a spigot through conventional methods.

Advantages:
• SST quick connector heats into and through the spigot - Injector end is free:
• Heating rod can be short of connector
• Heating rod can be through the spigot
• Lower energy required for thawing
• No external wrapping of wires
• Technology can be used with any NORMA Group SAE-style quick connector at injection end
• Smart-Thaw system may be used to retrofit a current system

Electrically Heated External Line

Electrically Heated External Line

A pioneering technology for thawing UREA lines, with smaller packaging size and weight compared to traditional rubber lines

Advantages:
• External heating element
• Efficient thawing performance
• Reduced heating power and de-freezing time
• Lower cost and power consumption
• Resistant to hard freeze
• Can be pre-formed or non-formed
• Available in 12V DC and 24V DC design

Electrically Heated Internal Line

Electrically Heated Internal Line

Combines superior flexibility and reduced de-freezing time with low power consumption

Advantages:
• Internal heating element
• Efficient thawing performance
• Reduced heating power and de-freezing time
• Lower cost and power consumption
• Resistant to hard freeze
• Can be pre-formed or straight line
• Available in 12V DC and 24V DC design
• Special customer requirements available upon request

Cooling Water Heated External EPDM Line

Cooling Water Heated External EPDM Line

Available in many versions with reduced power consumption – always easy to assemble

Advantages:
• No electrical components
• No electrical managing devices
• Heating of UREA via cooling water tube in a bundle
• Efficient thawing performance
• Resistance to hard freeze
• 4 mm and 6 mm ID available
• Many variation possible based on the customer flow rate demands

Electrically Heated Internal EPDM Line

Electrically Heated Internal EPDM Line

Reduces both power consumption and de-freezing time

Advantages:
• More efficient heating through heating rod placed inside the UREA fluid
• Lower current consumption
• Better handling characteristics, or line bending, over similar sized PA12 tube based lines
• Standardized design with SSL connector for reduction of tooling costs
