Fig.1 shows the clamp prior to tightening. During tightening the spring
liner flattens as per Fig. 2. As the rubber spreads out the clamp reverts to
its original position with nearly all its original power intact under the band.
Fig. 3 When the clamp is heated, the spring liner will flatten out. It regains its
original shape when cooled down.
