Avoid the turbo lag!

If you drive a car with a turbocharger, you expect a higher engine output than a naturally aspirated engine, while at the same time achieving lower fuel consumption and better emission values. The turbocharger uses the energy of the exhaust gas to charge the engine with additional fresh air and thus increase its performance. The delayed start of the turbocharger function can sometimes lead to a performance problem, the infamous turbo lag. The problem is, however, when your turbocharger whistles.

What happened?

Very high temperatures are generated during combustion, meaning that highly resistant clamps are required in the turbocharger to ensure a tight and reliable connection. If the clamps fail, less compressed air enters the engine, therefore less exhaust gas enters the turbocharger. It can no longer compress the air, and the result is a loss of performance.
