NORMA Group AG (“NORMA Group”), a global market and technology leader in engineered joining technology, continues to expand in Asia-Pacific with the opening of new offices and further developing its distribution network across the region. With this step, NORMA Group is increasing its distribution network in this region and sells joining technology products through various distribution channels to distributors, OEM aftermarket customers, technical wholesalers and hardware stores.
The company opened a new office in Ho Chi Minh City (former Saigon) in Vietnam in the beginning of 2012. Vietnam is considered to be one of the next major growth countries in Asia-Pacific. In addition, representative offices are to be established in Manila, Philippines, and in Jakarta, Indonesia in May. With the new representative offices, NORMA Group is venturing into new markets in the region to build brand awareness and establish distribution partnerships throughout these countries.

In doing so, we are able to service our local customers in an even better way, while at the same time strengthening our sales and distribution capacities in already existing markets.”
In countries such as Malaysia, Thailand, India and China where NORMA Group has existing offices, the company is continually enlarging its sales teams and building up distribution networks. Recently, a new sales office has been established in Shanghai, China. Furthermore, in India NORMA Group has intensified efforts in developing the business: With more than 30 distributors, the five major industrial regions are covered. Gearing up its sales activities, NORMA Group supports the rising demand for its products and solutions and secures its leadership position in engineered joining technology.
In 2011, sales in Asia-Pacific were EUR 35.7 million. With the new offices, NORMA Group is present in eleven countries in this region. In the financial year 2012, NORMA Group expects sales growth for the Asia-Pacific region in the high single-digit percentage range.
