NORMA Germany GmbH (“NORMA Germany“), a subsidiary of NORMA Group SE, welcomed on 2 September 2013 eight young trainees who started their apprenticeship at the Maintal, Germany, facility. Over the next three years, the young men will be trained to become process technicians, toolmakers and industrial mechanics, industrial administrators and industrial engineers. “Knowledge transfer is of paramount importance in a modern company like NORMA Group, in order to successfully compete in an international environment. Training at NORMA Group has a high standard and is renowned in the Main-Kinzig district,” says Melanie Tuncay, responsible for the commercial apprenticeship at NORMA Germany. “The know-how that you will learn here, will enable you to shape the future of this company,“ Tuncay told the trainees.
NORMA Germany currently employs 39 trainees across Germany, three of whom three are currently enrolled in combined on-the-job and university programs that will earn them a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration or a Bachelor of Engineering. NORMA Germany secures young talent in eight apprenticed trades. Those interested in commercial aspects can train to become industrial administrators. Apprenticed technical jobs include that of a machine and systems operator, industrial mechanic, electronics technician, process technician and warehouse logistician. In addition, trainees may enrol in combined on-the-job and university programs at the Berufsakademie Frankfurt/Offenbach or the TU Darmstadt. Students can earn a Bachelor of Engineering in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering or electronics or a Bachelor of Arts in business administration.
As a globally operating company, NORMA Group also offers junior staff the opportunity to train at NORMA Group companies abroad which will help them enhance their intercultural skills and introduce them early to working in international teams. Field trips, English language courses and support in preparing for exams are integral parts of NORMA Germany's training program.
