The Board of NORMA Germany GmbH, a subsidiary of NORMA Group AG, representatives of NORMA Group Holding GmbH and the Group Works Council have signed a group works agreement on the employment of temporary agency staff. The agreement ensures adequate employment and remuneration of temporary agency staff.
NORMA Group uses temporary employment as a necessary tool to, among other things, flexibly respond to momentary production peaks and economic volatility, provide support for special projects or replace employees on leave. The equal pay principle is implemented in several stages. After six months at the latest, temporary staff will be paid the same salary as the permanent employees. After over 15 months with the company, temporary staff will be moved on to permanent contracts.
Stephan Koenig, Head of Human Resources at NORMA Group, says: “NORMA Group treats its employees responsibly. This applies both to our permanent and to our temporary staff. In addition, temporary work complements apprenticeships and direct hiring as another way to join our company permanently."
Klaus Ditzel, Chairman of the Works Council of NORMA Germany, adds: "The agreement is a major step towards the equal treatment of employees. We ensure that temporary staff is treated fairly and given the opportunity to join the company on a permanent basis. It is an achievement we can be proud of."
