Acting on an application filed by the management board of NORMA Group AG in consultation with its supervisory board, the competent court appointed Erika Schulte as a new member of the company's supervisory board on 18 February 2013. Erika Schulte will initially be in office until the next general shareholders’ meeting on 22 May 2013. Erika Schulte succeeds to Dr. Ulf von Haacke, who had stepped down.
“Becoming part of a company whose products are tremendously important and highly effective in many sectors is a great honour to me”, Erika Schulte said in an explanation of her decision. “I will bring my long-standing industry experience to bear and promote the development of NORMA Group as its partner.”
By training a mathematician, Erika Schulte gained broad experience in various business aspects including marketing and distribution, business development and information technology. She is now Managing Director of Hanau Wirtschaftsfoerderung GmbH, Technologie- und Gruenderzentrum Hanau GmbH and Brueder-Grimm-Berufsakademie Hanau GmbH. In previous roles, Erika Schulte held managerial positions in various technology firms. “We are gratified that Erika Schulte agreed to join our supervisory board. Ms Schulte is experienced, particularly when it comes to technology, a crucial aspect of our Group”, says Werner Deggim, CEO of NORMA Group AG. “We are pleased that this assignment puts our supervisory board at the forefront of the technology industry where women are still underrepresented in these roles.”
The supervisory board of NORMA Group AG now consists of Dr. Stefan Wolf, chairman, Lars M. Berg, deputy chairman, Guenter Hauptmann, Knut J. Michelberger, Dr. Christoph Schug and Erika Schulte.
