NORMA Help Day: Employees take action with local volunteer initiatives

Maintal, Germany, September 26, 2025

NORMA Group supports environmental and social projects around its sites through voluntary work on NORMA Help Day. Employees spend a day working for local organizations or making other concrete contributions to the community.

“NORMA Help Day is a valuable opportunity to strengthen the social commitment in the communities around our sites”, explains Lisa Knothe from NORMA Group’s Corporate Responsibility department. “Every year, several hundred colleagues around the world participate with great enthusiasm. NORMA Help Day is an integral part of our corporate responsibility activities.”

At NORMA Group's headquarters in Maintal, employees created a barrier-free access to the sanitary facilities on the grounds of the children and youth park in Hochstadt. Another group actively supported a local wildlife association with construction work and prepared areas for new animal enclosures.

Monika Böttcher, Mayor of Maintal, praised the volunteers' commitment during a visit: “The voluntary work carried out by the NORMA Group employees demonstrates how strongly they identify with Maintal and their sense of responsibility toward the community. Through their involvement in volunteer projects, they make a valuable contribution to the development of our city.”

Since its start in 2014 at the company headquarters in Maintal, NORMA Help Day has become a well-established global initiative. Today, employees around the world get involved in volunteer projects in their local areas once a year at numerous NORMA Group sites. In Mexico, for example, participants donated blood to the local blood bank. And in Sweden, employees organized a trip to an adventure park for 75 socially disadvantaged children and adolescents in cooperation with a children’s aid organization. NORMA employees also provided food for the entire group. In the coming weeks, further volunteer activities will take place at many other company sites as part of NORMA Help Day.
