NORMA Group, an international market and technology leader for engineered joining technology, has launched a new ABA Mini W1 clamp for thin-walled hoses with small diameters, such as fuel, pneumatic or water hoses. The clamp has been equipped with a band of pre-galvanized steel and a combi slot screw. This improves the clamp’s corrosion resistance and allows mounting the clamp with various tools.
“It is the small improvements that often bring about large benefits for our customers,” says Bernd Kleinhens, board member Business Development at NORMA Group. “Our optimized ABA Mini clamp grants a bigger choice of tools when applying our technology and thus facilitates assembly. It also provides a better clamping force compared to screwless clamps.”
ABA Mini clamps feature rolled-up band edges that are gentle on hoses. The band tongue is profiled for added strength. Furthermore, the screw has a hexagonal head and can be tightened with a flexible socket. The nut is retained even if the screw is removed. Available for delivery from 1 October 2013, the new ABA Mini W1 clamp will replace existing ranges of ABA Mini W1 and ABA Mini SM W1. The clamp is manufactured in NORMA Group´s production site in Sweden, Anderstorp.
Hose and pipe clamps produced under the ABA trademark are available in many types and standards, and are distributed via a network of selected companies specialising in volume distribution in their national market segments.
