NORMA Group bestows first Global Supplier Recognition Award
NORMA Group, a global market leader for engineered joining technology, bestows its first ever “Global Supplier Recognition Award” on selected suppliers. In 2014, the award for outstanding performance and results goes to EMS Chemie Holding AG. Based in Switzerland, EMS Chemie Holding AG (“EMS”) is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of high performance polymers and specialty chemicals. Going forward, NORMA Group will sponsor the award on an annual basis.
John Stephenson, COO of NORMA Group, officially presented the “Global Supplier Recognition Award” to Magdalena Martullo, CEO of EMS, on July 02, 2014 in Oestrich-Winkel, Germany. “EMS deserves to be recognised as our most reliable supplier in 2013”, John Stephenson said. “Only partners of this class enable us to meet our exceptional quality standards and deliver on our commitment to exceeding our clients' expectations. NORMA Group confers the “Global Supplier Recognition Award” acknowledging EMS' supplier performance in 2013. As part of the award process, NORMA Group assessed supplier reliability, product quality, competitiveness, compliance with international quality standards and the sustainable use of resources based on an extensive list of criteria.
NORMA Group has been obtaining technical thermoplastics, for instance the polyamides PA 6 and PA 12, in granular form from EMS since the beginning of the 1990s. They are used in the production of fluid systems and joining elements at the company's locations across the world.
