NORMA Group donates EUR 2,000 to youth centre in Maintal

Among other things, the JUZ Dörnigheim will use the donation by NORMA Germany to extend its offering to Saturdays. To date, the centre could only afford staff from Mondays till Fridays. “We are very grateful for this generous donation, particularly since the money will go directly into our social activities for children and youths,” says Katrin Degel, the manager of the JUZ Dörnigheim. “As parents and youths from the larger Maintal area are showing increasing interest in our offering, we will now be available for our young ones another day on the weekend. We will use the NORMA donation for this purpose.”
The funds were raised during a company party as has by now become a tradition for NORMA and its employees. “Fundraising is a staple in our company parties. We greatly admire the work done by Maintal’s non-profit organisations and we are pleased that we can support them with the proceeds from our tombola,” says Gerhard Wulz. The fundraiser regularly supports a charitable institution or an association that makes a difference in the communities within NORMA Germany’s catchment area; in the last years, for instance, the money went to the Association for the Support of Dangerously Ill Children, the children’s day centre in Moosburger Weg or the women’s shelter in Hanau.
