The Manufacturing Management Award 2014 was presented on 24 October 2014 in the Paulskirche in Frankfurt am Main during the Frankfurt School’s graduation ceremony. “The Frankfurt School is a prestigious business school and is well known for its high educational standards,” said John Stephenson, COO of NORMA Group. “We attach great importance to supporting university research of topical and relevant industry issues.” The three winners received EUR 1.500, EUR 1.000 and EUR 500 respectively in prize money. “We highly appreciate that NORMA Group generously supports outstanding graduates and thank NORMA Group for its commitment,” said Prof. Dr. Udo Steffens, President of Frankfurt School.
A three-strong jury of Frankfurt School professors reviews the master theses based on the following criteria: topics’ relevance, reference to the manufacturing industry, influence on industry changes and the theses’ final marks. NORMA Group has been cooperating with the Frankfurt School since 2012, for instance on project management issues as well as with regard to promoting young talents and management training. Several Frankfurt School students are writing their master theses with NORMA Group; the company also regularly recruits graduates from the business school.
